Miscellaneous  Projects

This is a collection of pieces of work, videos, and passion projects that don't fully fall in the category of graphic design or illustration. They are currently broken down into three catagories of Radio, Editing and Analysis, and 3D Modeling. 

For three years, I had a radio show on Radio DePaul, my college radio station; where I hosted What We Did Last Night, which was a music sharing show between friends. Every year Radio DePaul hosts an awards show, where What We Did Last Night won "Best Social Media Presence." I consider my radio show my passion project and took me the most out of my comfort zone. Uptown Update

When the COVID-19 pandemic hit the United States, Radio DePaul had to close its doors part way though the broadcasting year. Wanting to keep the hosts involved with the station from home, we were allowed to put together livestreams via Instagram. The logo for Uptown Update is hand lettered and digitized.

Acrylic Paint Pouring

As someone who usually requires structure and routine to keep myself on rack and productive, I wanted to break out of my normal and create a little chaos for myself. So, I picked up the hobby of acrylic paint pouring and now my apartment is covered in canvases featuring my own work.

Stamped Alphabet

With thrifting being one of my hobbies, I knew I had to create art with a complete set of letter stamps I found at Brown Elephant Thrift Store in Chicago. It was a good way to break away from the sometimes rigid grid of typography and use letters as art. 

Paint Swatch Collage

As a kid, whenever I went on errands with my parents (usually to Menards or Home Depot) I always wanted to take the color swatches in the paint department. Now that I am a human adult I can do just that and use the colors as inspiration. In this case, the swatches were cut up to create a collage for my partner as a Valentine's Day gift.

3D Modeling

Low Poly 3D Zorse

I was prompted to create a low poly model for an RPG game, and I was given a random genre, archetype, and animal to design. The genre for the game is dystopian future, the archetype is a rebel, and the animal is a zorse (zebra horse hybrid). I have to fully model only using polygons and triangles, pose the model using a skeleton, color and shade it, and finally light it and make it rotate.
