Acrylic Paint Pouring

With my acrylic painting, I enjoy creating pieces in sets usually representing a specific color in the rainbow. These are called clean pours in which each paint color has its own cup and then poured over the canvas which is tilted.

My personal favorites of this set is the painting featuring purple because of the movement created within the piece through thin lines of paint. I also enjoy the orange painting due to the various colors in the piece coming together and blending to make orange.

This is a pair of paintings of what is called a dirty pour in which all the colors are poured in one cup and then poured onto the canvas. It is then spun so the paint reaches all of the corners and spreads thin enough.

The blue painting reminds me of the ocean and the waves crashing onto a reef. The purple reminds me of looking up at the night sky or being in outer space. Both of them have similar movement and feels balanced next to each other.

These are a few others of my favorite paintings that I've created. They remind me of looking at the Northern Lights, flower gardens, fields of grass, and caves. You never know what images will emerge when you create a little chaos on the canvas. As you can see, I have many paintings displayed throughout my apartment as well as a few ready to be given to friends and family. If you see something you like, reach out!
