Illustration

This is my collection of work that I place under the Illustration category. It has more of an art focus and does not use as much text. This is where design and art begins to blur, but is still a part of the design world.

When someone thinks about music, how we represent it physically isn't the first thought we have. I was presented with that thought and created a visual representation of Electric Dance Music, also known as EDM. The piece is completed using illustrator and features inspiration from Spring Awakening, a Chicago EDM festival, repetitive elements, and a speaker. These elements and colors create a loud and layered representation of Electronic Dance Music.

A design challenge that was presented in a class at DePaul University was to digitally illustrate someone in vector form in Adobe Illustrator. As a fan of the television show, The Good Place, I decided to illustrate Kristen Bell, who plays the main character, Eleanor, on the show.

Thelma and Louise Movie Poster

One of my all time favorite movies is the classic Thelma & Louise. As an avid fan, I wanted to redesign what would be the cover of the DVD case. After completing the piece, I thought it worked better as a standalone poster instead as a cover.

How to Bind a Sketchbook

After learning how to bind my own sketchbook, a few of my friends wanted to know how. I thought it would be smart to create something that is easy to follow; it also doubled as an assignment for Semiotics and Visual Design at DePaul. This allowed myself to frame the piece as something beyond just my group of friends.

How to Mail a Letter

A satirical piece about how Millennials need to be taught about how to mail a letter. Created by someone who can identify with Millennial culture, I love the humor that I created for this piece. We obviously know how to mail a letter.
