I started out by cutting out over 100 squares of paper that I made sure it was the correct size I wanted and just started playing. I know I wanted each letter to have its own moment but still be a cohesive piece. I made a few versions of each letter and started picking out my favorites and laid them out where they fit in the grid. I saw the pattern and flow that was taking shape and filled in the remaining letters with the versions that fit in the best.
I enjoy this piece because it takes the rigidity of typography and use the letterforms as its own art piece.
