My process started with taking the paint swatches and cutting them into 4 different sizes. I wanted to create dimension within the piece so I took crafting beads and hot glued them to the squares to add the height. I then started laying out all the pieces in the composition where I wanted them based on how the color and the lines of each swatch play with each other. I also like the element of being able to see some of the color names on the swatches as well.

I gave this as a gift for Valentine's day in 2024. The heard tag hanging on the side was attached to a box of chocolates and has a personal message on the back of it. But and the end of the day, it isn't the chocolate or the art piece that matters, it is the human connection created and how it is expressed.
